The members of the rescue squad have been thrilled with this program for young teens. The program has been a success and has had a lot of good come out of it as well. The first year the squad had this program we had five cadets, who are now full-time members. We currently have five cadets that are learning the ropes of the trade and serving the community. Serving the community is not only transporting patients to the hospital but also having blood pressure checks, bake sales, and other activities for the cadets to interact with the community.
